Manor Massacre....

The Design House is proud to be sponsoring the Manor Massacre event this Friday at the University of Utah Post Theater.  Manor Massacre is a group of local independent film makers specializing in the Halloween genre.  They will be screening their sixth movie "Sicks" this Friday night and from the preview it looks to be quite entertaining.  Come check out the movie and stay for the live music and fun give-aways from everyone sponsoring the event.

Sprucing Up Shop

We are so excited to be working with the Accessory Shop at the South Towne Mall.  She called and asked us to help her revamp her retail space.  Stay tuned to see what we come up with.

A Table in the Making........

A couple weeks back we posted a blog about a great little store in Salt Lake called The Wood Connection.  We selected and purchased a table and chairs from them about a month ago and yesterday we had the pleasure of seeing the "almost" finished product.  What is so great about The Wood Connection is that you can select the finishes of your product.  There are numerous paints and stains that you can choose from and even add some distressing and glazing to give it that worn weathered look.  Our almost finished product looks like this:

9 By Design

Bravo TV has a show called "9 by Design."  It follows Robert and Courtney Novagratz who are designers that started more than a decade ago by buying rundown properties and turning them into chic, well designed spaces.  The show also follows their family of seven kids and how it is to be designer's raising a big family and dealing with demanding projects and deadlines.  The Novagratz' were recently here in Utah at the Home Expo and we had the privilege to meet them, share design ideas and even snap a photo. 

Vintage Modern Project

Our new client wants us to create her a contemporary/modern space using her existing furniture, the exciting part is that most of the furniture is vintage from the 50's and 60's.  How cool is that?  It's not everyday that you get to utilize classic pieces of furniture in an updated space.  Here's a taste of some of her furniture before it finds a home in the finished space. 

There are plenty more pieces that we'll be using, but we have to save some excitement for later.  :)
